The Mountains We Climb

This post first of all I can tell you, will be very long. I hope it to be an inspiration for some, and for others give a sense of accomplishment, and yet others to know what good things come from.
Lets start back to the beginning of a website called BloggingZoom.com which has grown to be a formidable foe to other top ranked bookmarking, and snippet generated update sites from users who contribute their piece of the pie. We all know that a couple guys named Vic Franqui and Courtney Tuttle built a site which was made to be not only a content network, but a community of users who would soon get to know each other and become friends alike from all parts of this globe we call home. Since the growth of this community, people have not only learned more about internet marketing, but have have also learned that all that glitters isn’t gold. Why do I say that?
All of us have our own mountains to climb each and everyday, be they the motivation to build upon websites that are already created to keep them afloat on the net, or just for some to even be able to walk to their computer in poor health, hoping that maybe the effort they give today might reap benefits another day and help them add to a low income state they are already in.
You see everyone… not only do we have our own mountains to climb, but we have the mountains of others all around us. Many times their mountains are much higher than our own. Do we have more than the sufficient tools to climb our own mountain? If so then can we lend some of them to others.
One of those guys that I am happy to call a friend is Vic Franqui. Vic is a strong climber compared to many around him that appear to be strong climbers but have fake climbing gear. Let me tell you something else, while the other apparent professional climbers sell you their tools that they themselves have not come to master. Vic not only shares his tools with you, but also offers you a hand to climb your mountain.
Those who look to lose from their profiteering of worthless and shoddy climbing gear snare at Vic because of the exposing of what they really are. Any one of you that would dare make a comment on this blog post to say something negative about this guy other than his brutal honesty and thick skin, I ask you this… what great mountains have you helped others climb other than the empty words of hope?
So now I ask those of you who have become stronger climbers, what about the mountain that Vic is climbing? His may not necessarily be one that you and I are climbing. For many of you who watch and listen to Bloggerunleashed.tv you may remember Vic mentioning something that he is going to try to overcome. I am not going to talk in detail about that here, but if you know what I am speaking about then how can you give a hand of encouragement and a push to help him overcome his obstacles, maybe even other ones that you are aware of? It truly is something to think about.
While all of us have our own mountains to climb, we can help each other in different ways because after all, we all have different mountains to climb, even a teacher himself.
The moral behind this post is that we can never think that we are helpless to help another person. There are different ways we can help each other, even if we are not professional internet marketers or even professional web surfers at that. Everyone has experienced something that another never has. If we meditate on our own experiences in life, only then can we begin to help others overcome their own personal mountains.
climbing living making money mountains strugglingFor one night, I ask of you one thing. On the Ustream channel for BloggerUnleashed tonight please do not ask questions. I would really like to get everyone who has experienced amazing things over the last 6 months to give their thoughts and expressions of how they have benefited from Vic’s mentoring. Everyone will give that person the floor to type and allow them to express themselves a little and what they have learned most or what changes have taken place in the last month or the last 6 months of their internet knowledge. lets make this a night not of lots of questions, but just a little refreshment and appreciation.

Nicely written Justin and I shall be there to share what Vic has done for me.
Nice post Justin. I think Vic is very inspiring and obviously gives a lot to others in spite of his mountains. Its also nice to see you giving back by making posts like this one recognizing him. I’ve learned a lot from Vic both directly and indirectly by watching what he does and I look forward to learning a lot more.
Absolutely in agreement there Justin. Well said. I’ll definitely be there for this moment. I know it gets a little rough on him at times and with everything he’s got going on it would be easy for him to just not do any of this at all. I’m so very appreciative that he takes what time he does have and spends it educating the masses on how to effectively play this game.
Wonderful idea Justin. Vic has a true friend in you. Each person can share and then just let Vic speak. I’m in.
Thanks for this. It’s hard watching someone give of themselves while asking nothing in return, because I know how much strain it puts on them. Let’s give Vic a little something back by showing some appreciation.
Beautifully expressed Justin. I’ll definitely try to put into words my sincere appreciation even though they may not be as eloquent as your words. My words come from my heart. Its the words that never seem to come.
If I happen to be online at the time, I’m in too. This is a great idea! What Vic has shown me on his website has already shown me a lot and I am finally starting to make money online — all thanks to Vic! Hopefully one day I can return the favor by paying it forward or helping him out in some way too.
Thanks everyone, I look forward to seeing you all there tonight and hearing your thoughts.
Vic has been a phenomenal motivator to me online. When I think about giving up, I can literally hear his voice saying, “Guys, come on, stick with it. Get off your a** and get the work done!” as only he can say:)
Anyone who sends personalized messages the way he does at the expense of his personal time, comfort and health is simply amazing. I hope that these positive thoughts and energy will help in replenishing his spirit.
I am not an insider and don’t know what you’re going through Vic but as my Father says, those that give to the least of these has also given unto Me. You are an Angel to so many who’ve been in the wilderness online.
May you prosper in all areas of your life.
God Bless.
I will definitely be there and support Vic all the way he is the best person that has ever hit the internet and I have learned more from him than any other person … or tool that has crossed my path.. thanks Justin for your wonderful words about Vic…he is very deserving of all our appreciation.
Great post Justin! Vic’s got a big heart, and he deserves some thanks and recognition for all that he’s done.
Great post Justin. I think its a great idea and it is amazing how much the three (Court, Vic, and Griz) have given to everyone who follows them. Especially Vic, who devotes hours of his life to teaching us and motivating us; and even at times being the one who says the things you don’t want to hear. “You’re being lazy” “Get to work” “Stop asking about links” “Don’t be a dumb fuck” “Work Work Work” “It is what it is” All which are heart felt expressions of his desire to push people, but they are sadly misinterpreted by many shortsighted people on the net who feel you must be PC to get a point across.
His style is original, but he motivates people to get off their asses and get things done.
He’s created something very impressive. I was thinking on the way home the sheer power that our little group may carry in the future. 30 to 50 well trained internet marketers with a common history and goal.
You have my vote and I commit to doing my part to express my gratitide to vic in the “Show of Appreciation”… Thanks for giving us a forum for this expression.
Candy I do what I can but no where near as much as the Vicster!
Thanks Justin, yea it will be a night of no questions, just having fun and talking about what everyone has learned over the last few months.
Melb I am looking forward to it. I think we will all have a good time and it will allow Vic to just chill a little before he gets some good sleep.
Haha!! Sunshine that is the Vic style. He is a true motivator. Hes one of those guys that will kick you in the butt to help yourself and then will give you a hug once you have gotten there.
Nice one Justin. I’m sure Vic will appreciate your efforts and realize that his efforts will be well rewarded by the friendships of the folks involved. There’s more to life than just making some quick cash!
Wow that’s a really cool post Justin! I can’t be online tonight (afternoon my time) as I can’t stream vid at work (bloody firewall!) So maybe I will add here what Vic’s done for me since I started reading him for real in April. I’d being trying to “make it” online since last Sept - I had seen Vic on the blogosphere and remembered the owner of bloggingzoom actually zooming some of my posts in there in the early days - I thought that was cool, but nothing more. I became pretty much totally disillusioned with MMO when I discovered that I was excited about making $20 / MONTH in Adsense ROTFL. Got a daytime job part-time with the unspoken thought that it would go full-time and I could quietly drop the MMO experiment: at least I’d tried!
Then Vic hit my screen: I had to find the headphones so I could listen to him in without the neighbours thinking we were having a domestic! I had to up my ISP plan because of my sudden increase in downland MB! I had to start operating on 1/2 my normal amount of sleep - because even when I went to bed I was too pumped to sleep anyway ’cause I was lying there dreaming of keywords and BANS and Adsense niches! But I didn’ t even bother keeping the smile off my face, because I know I will make enough money online to get to Vegas in September!
Thanks Vic: thanks are inadequate but you inspire me and no one has ever done that in business off or online! I don’t do motivation speakers or goal setting or all that feel good group hug shit. I’m a scientist and I am sitting here in tears thanking a crazy guy from Puerto Rico who I never met - WTF! You’ve changed my business life that’s the bottom line, very few people make a difference Vic -but you are one!
Hey Lissie thanks for those thoughts. I will be seeing you in Vegas!!
Justin,
I don’t think anyone could have said it better. Vic is truly one of a kind. I owe him thanks for helping me see internet marketing in a different way, without the BS you get from other sites. Vic, Court, and Grizz are the only blogs I read and I owe that to Vic.
Thanks for writing this post and making others aware of just how unselfish Vic, is. He truly “Rocks” may God always bless him.
you are so right. What I learned from Vic in this few short months totally erased what I have learned from others for the past 3 years. It was only when I started reading Blogging Unleashed that I really got to understand what making money online meant and I can’t thank Vic enough for that.
Justin: Be sure to cut & paste the chat session for Vic afterwards (It would be a shame not to have a record of it.)
Thanks Justin,
That was a lovely thing to do for Vic. As for all the commenter’s previously, Vic has made a huge different in the way I see the MMO industry these days. I basically lost that tinge of blindness and make believe.
Without Vic I’d still be buying tons of worthless ebooks and not getting anywhere at all.
Unfortunately it looks like the show has already happened as nobody is online right now.
Somebody above here in the comments said; “…but they are sadly misinterpreted by many shortsighted people on the net who feel you must be PC to get a point across. His style is original, but he motivates people to get off their asses and get things done.”
I heartily endorse that but question whether it is realllllly necessary to use the “F” word in every second sentence just to grab attention and score high visitor counts. I thought Vic was really brutal by categorizing Caroline Middlebrook as a “Bitch”.
I can plainly see that Vic has poor English skills, but he counters that by having very clear insights into the workings of profitable websites. If he put 1% of the effort he puts into analyzing and working the web into expressing himself in basic English we would all be much richer in terms of gaining from his unique and very valuable brand of net wisdom, and we wouldn’t be so totally disgusted by the foul language he employs.
Swearing is the mark of a person without the effort or imagination to find proper expression, and you can “tell it like it is” without using all the common 4 letter Saxon words.
Rhys, you obviously haven’t hung out with technical people of all types. There are really really smart people out there that use the “colorful” metaphors that are shocking you. I can’t get through my day without cursing a piece of equipment to Hell at least once.
Maybe your skin isn’t thick enough. So be it. Vic’s cussing has motivated me to stop being the dumb@$$/dumbEff that I’ve been for the last few years. I’ve wasted sooo much time earning other freaks money that I’ve starved myself!!
Vic and the rest of the crew have opened my eyes and I’m starting to whip my dumbeff aaish in shape. I’m going to start applying his techniques to my sad sad portfolio and earn the money that Vic wants us *all* (including you!) to earn.
You said, “and earn the money that Vic wants us *all* (including you!) to earn;” and I very much agree with you. My point really is that I want the same thing, but ALSO for all the folk that are repelled by the constant “F” word and who click away from his site and so miss out on the really useful and helpful info he wants to share……
