Building Authority

One of the things I always tell people is to create a flagship blog. This is because you can use that blog to feed any new ones that you create. Authority with a site can be a very good thing. You will find that this site is an authority, and you can see all the supplemental posts that show up when you type in bloggingzombie in Google. Sites that have authority generally pass off a lot of strength to the site they link to, and this can be a very solid way of not only getting newly launched sites indexed, but also getting them to move up in Google.

One of the things you need to do is begin the linking process to start building authority for a site. Many times you can build authoity for a specific keyword. other times it may be for the name of your site. If you are building a site for a competitive niche, chances are you probably won't become an authority for that niche. An example we might use is credit cards. this would take literally hundreds of thousands of links. Since many others are also getting thousands of links this probably is not going to take place.

So just focus on building your site and getting links for all different terms. The more links you get the stronger your site will be anyways. Links are the life of a website, and also what keeps them ranking in Google. Remember that just making a lot of posts is not going to cut it. You will need to always be building links. What are you waiting for, get started!
